Payment Architect

The Opportunity: The Payment Architect is instrumental in crafting, developing, and deploying sophisticated payment solutions across diverse platforms and applications. This role involves collaboration with business analysts, developers, testers, and various stakeholders to ensure that payment systems adhere to both functional and technical specifications, including security and compliance standards. The Payment Architect is also responsible for diagnosing and resolving payment issues while providing ongoing technical support and leadership within the payment team.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement robust payment architectures and solutions tailored for multiple platforms such as web, mobile, and e-commerce.
  • Handle the integration and configuration of various payment gateways and processors.
  • Guarantee that payment systems are scalable, dependable, secure, and comply with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct system testing, debugging, and optimization to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of payment systems, identifying and addressing any operational challenges or inefficiencies.
  • Offer technical expertise and support to the payment team and liaise with other stakeholders to facilitate seamless operations.
  • Investigate emerging payment technologies and trends, proposing strategic updates and advancements.
  • Document and manage the configuration and architecture of payment solutions, ensuring they are current and effectively maintained.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Payment Architect role or similar.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in payment systems, protocols, and standards such as ISO 20022, PCI-DSS, and ISO 8583.
  • Proficiency with major payment gateways and processors like Stripe, PayPal, and Braintree.
  • Familiarity with diverse Payment Use Cases including Bill Pay and Cross Border transactions.
  • Skilled in programming languages including Java, C#, Python, among others.
  • Strong background in databases, data structures, and algorithm design.
  • Experience with cloud services and platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud.
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
