System Administrator

The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support our client's Aviation Product Lifecycle Management (AvPLM) initiatives. In this role, you will provide comprehensive system administration support for the AvPLM Integrated Product Team (IPT) and its customers. Your responsibilities will include maintaining IT infrastructure by installing and configuring software, monitoring and troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring IT security compliance in line with DoD policies.

Anticipated Tasks:
  • Perform daily checks of IT systems
  • Triage, monitor, and work National Help Desk support tickets
  • Complete Configuration Change Control Board (CCB) requests
  • Perform general IT requirements, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security in an unclassified network environment for applications, databases, integrations, or infrastructure as assigned
  • Support Windows Server builds and have the ability to harden systems to be in compliance with DoD RMF policies.
  • Perform security monitoring and maintaining security patches and updates on Windows servers, using ACAS/Nessus vulnerability management to maintain compliance
  • Support Windows Server performance monitoring including monitoring disk space; and resource utilization, capacity and availability 
  • Provide troubleshooting support using application/server logs and Windows logs
  • Coordinate outsourced help requests
  • Assist with coordination of Maintenance Scheduling
  • Assist with license and subscription management
  • Possess the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Attend and contribute to Teams collaboration meetings for new requirements, troubleshooting/diagnosis, monitoring, and server side application support.
  • Assist with documenting processes and procedures and keeping documentation updated
  • Provide weekend and after hours support as required
As a Systems Administrator, your primary focus will be setting up and maintaining infrastructure, but you will also collaborate regularly with other Infrastructure Administration sub-teams to support the AvPLM Cloud environments and various applications, including Siemens Teamcenter PLM suite and eQube MI. You will work closely with other System Administrators and the Applications Administration team to perform a range of infrastructure and integration activities. This includes managing the AWS GovCloud-hosted system boundary for the AvPLM environments and utilizing AWS Cloud Native Services in your day-to-day operations.

Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in an IT related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering) plus four years’ experience or 8+ years of experience in a related field in lieu of a degree
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active Secret clearance or clearance eligibility, Single Scope Background Investigation
  • Security+ CE
  • OS Certification
Annual Salary Range is $75,000 to $105,000 depending on experience. The compensation range reflects the Company’s reasonable expectations at the time of posting.  We consider a number of factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business needs.  [This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program]
