The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery, and a strong ability to process large volumes of data efficiently. Familiarity with Composer, DataProc, or DataFlow is essential, while Java expertise is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will design and maintain scalable data solutions to meet business needs.

• Role: GCP Engineer
• Experience: 6-9 Years
• Location: Phoenix, AZ 
• Duration: 12 Month Contract

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize data workflows using BigQuery to handle and process large datasets.
• Utilize Composer, DataProc, or DataFlow to orchestrate and manage data pipelines on GCP.
• Write efficient, maintainable code, with a preference for candidates proficient in Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all projects.

Required Skills:

• Extensive hands-on experience with BigQuery and managing large-scale data processing.
• Strong knowledge of GCP tools, including Composer, DataProc, or DataFlow.
• Proficiency in data engineering and programming concepts.
• Ability to handle complex data workflows in a cloud-native environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Java for building and enhancing data processing pipelines.
• Experience with data modeling and performance optimization in BigQuery.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and large-scale data operations.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.
