Senior Network Engineer

Las Vegas, NV
The Opportunity: We’re seeking a Senior Network Engineer to serve as a technical escalation point for complex network incidents and to drive the development and delivery of enterprise networking platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. This individual will work independently, provide technical leadership, and partner closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with best practices and operational standards.

  • Project Duration: 12+ Month Contract

Responsibilities
  • Support project execution, technology planning, and budgeting, collaborating cross-functionally with minimal supervision.
  • Monitor and maintain network systems, ensuring availability, integrity, and proper log and backup validation.
  • Lead security operations, including vulnerability mitigation, account management, and compliance.
  • Provide Tier III support, including capacity planning, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis.
  • Mentor and guide team members, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews to align with organizational standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking, security, or incident response.
  • Strong background in managing large-scale physical and cloud network environments.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls and infrastructure technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).
  • Automation/scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred: industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, Security+).

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with network architecture and design.
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools and observability (e.g. SNMP, NetFlow).
  • Prior experience in capacity planning and performance optimization.
