- Administer and maintain Oracle RAC environments to ensure high availability and operational stability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Oracle database performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Perform SQL performance analysis using Oracle tuning tools and advisors.
- Manage SQL execution plans and implement plan management strategies to maintain consistent application performance.
- Develop and maintain reliable Oracle database backup and recovery strategies.
- Perform database recovery activities and support disaster recovery operations.
- Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Oracle Data Guard environments.
- Manage Oracle GoldenGate replication and troubleshoot replication-related issues.
- Design database structures that support scalability, performance, availability, and maintainability.
- Participate in database architecture and capacity planning initiatives.
- Review existing database designs and recommend improvements based on application and business requirements.
- Support database migrations, upgrades, maintenance activities, and production deployments.
- Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and overall system performance.
- Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain database administration standards, procedures, and operational documentation.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, and engineering teams to resolve database-related challenges.
- Support production environments and participate in incident resolution and root-cause investigations.
- Apply Oracle database administration best practices to improve reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience administering Oracle databases in enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience managing Oracle RAC environments.
- Extensive experience with Oracle SQL performance tuning and optimization.
- Hands-on knowledge of Oracle SQL Tuning Advisor and related database performance analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of SQL Plan Management and execution plan optimization.
- Extensive experience with Oracle backup and recovery technologies and procedures.
- Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Oracle Data Guard environments.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate replication.
- Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and internals.
- Experience with database table design, data structures, indexing strategies, and physical database architecture.
- Experience with complex Data Guard configurations and disaster recovery architectures.
- Strong knowledge of GoldenGate configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience contributing to enterprise database architecture and design decisions.
- Working knowledge of Exadata and its integration with Oracle database environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance analysis capabilities.
- Ability to analyze complex database issues and develop effective technical solutions.
- Experience working with production-critical Oracle database environments.
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- A highly experienced Oracle DBA with strong expertise in RAC, performance tuning, backup and recovery, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
- Someone who can troubleshoot complex database problems and maintain highly available production environments.
- An individual with strong knowledge of Oracle database design and architecture.
- A database professional capable of analyzing performance issues and implementing effective SQL optimization strategies.
- Someone who understands enterprise database recovery and replication requirements.
- A proactive problem-solver who can work independently while collaborating effectively with application and infrastructure teams.
