Sales Support Representative

Title:   Sales Support Representative

Summary:
The Sales Support Representative is responsible for providing comprehensive assistance and support to the sales team in achieving their goals and increasing sales revenue. This role involves collaborating closely with the sales team, customers, and various internal departments to ensure smooth sales operations and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Organizational Engagement: Support the sales team with administrative tasks such as order processing, generating sales reports, maintaining customer databases, preparing sales presentations, and managing inventory.
  • Customer Service: Assist customers with inquiries, provide product information, resolve complaints, and offer support throughout the sales process to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Coordination: Coordinate and communicate with internal teams, including marketing, production, logistics, and finance, to ensure the timely delivery of products or services and facilitate the smooth progress of sales orders.
  • Quotation and Proposal Preparation: Prepare accurate and competitive quotations and proposals for potential customers, incorporating the appropriate pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Contract Management: Assist in contract negotiations and review contracts to ensure adherence to company policies, compliance with legal requirements, and consistency with customer expectations.
  • Sales Reporting and Analysis: Create and analyze sales reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track sales trends, and identify areas for improvement. Provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Training and Support: Conduct training sessions for the sales team on new product features, sales tools, or company policies. Provide ongoing support to sales representatives in the use of technology platforms and sales enablement tools.
  • Sales Forecasting: Collaborate with the sales team to develop accurate sales forecasts and assist in the preparation of annual sales budgets.
  • Market Research: Collect market intelligence, including competitor analysis, industry trends, and customer preferences, to assist the sales team in developing effective sales strategies.
  • Time Management:  Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work efficiently with other members of the broader Technologent team.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience in sales support and customer service. Familiarity with NetSuite and sales tools is desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers, the sales team, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and provide insights for sales growth.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment without compromising attention to detail.
  • Team collaboration: Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
  • Product Knowledge: Understanding of the company's products/services and industry to effectively assist customers and support the sales team.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in using MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM systems, and other sales support tools.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-years of experience in an area of Sales.

Language Skills:
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written communication).
  • Effective communication and people skills.

Physical Requirements: 
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a workspace and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to lift, in an upward motion, a minimum of 25 pounds.

Travel Requirements:
  • May require driving and flying, locally and overnight, to Customer, Vendor, and Company locations and events.
  • This is an in-office position for those employees that live within 50-miles within a Technologent office space.

Annual Salary Range is $60,000 to $100,000 depending on experience. The compensation range reflects the Company’s reasonable expectations at the time of posting.  We consider a number of factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business needs.  [This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program]
