Network Lead Architect

The Opportunity: We are seeking a Network Lead Architect for a client project focused on enterprise network design, optimization, and governance. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced network architectures that enable secure, scalable, and high-performing connectivity across complex environments. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into effective network solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise network architectures that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Develop detailed physical and logical network designs, including integration with cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Ensure network infrastructure aligns with organizational standards for security, scalability, and performance.
  • Implement monitoring and observability tools to proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in root cause analysis and incorporate findings into design improvements.
  • Participate in cross-functional architecture reviews and governance sessions to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure network solutions support strategic goals.
  • Lead vendor and partner design governance to validate adherence to best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost optimization, resiliency, and supportability.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in network architecture and design.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Cisco Route/Switch, Cisco ACI, Cisco Wireless, SD-WAN, and Cloud connectivity solutions.
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center, ISE, and network observability tools such as SNMP, sFlow/netflow, or similar.
  • Strong background in network security and NetSec platforms (Palo Alto, Zscaler, Citrix Netscaler).
  • Solid understanding of routing, switching, and enterprise network protocols.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCIE, JNCIE, TOGAF, etc.) preferred.
Preferred Experience:
  • Exposure to regulated environments such as PCI, financial services, or gaming.
  • Experience managing OPEX and CAPEX budgets for network programs.
  • Familiarity with InfoBlox for IPAM, DNS, and DHCP management.
